Riding the Momentum – How Tekai welcomed 2026 together

This January, Tekai: an ecosystem software company bridging teams across the Nordics and Vietnam, didn’t just welcome a new year. They welcomed a new wave.

Through two meaningful moments: our New Year Party 2026: Feel the Wave, Ride the Momentum and our New Year (Tết) celebration (Khại Xuân Bính Ngọ); we created space to reflect on the year behind us and align on the journey ahead.

If 2025 was defined by constant change: shifting markets, evolving technologies, and new uncertainties. The question entering 2026 became clear: how do we move forward with clarity and confidence when predictability is no longer part of the plan?

At Tekai, the answer started with people.

    1. New Year Party 2026 – Turning Reflection into Momentum

On January 30, 2026, Tekai kicked off the year with a hybrid New Year Party connecting our teams in Vietnam and Finland — a lively gathering in Hanoi alongside a warm lunchtime session in Helsinki. Different formats, same intention.

While last year’s conversations often centered on rapid technological shifts and the pressure to adapt, this year’s focus moved one step further: how to turn possibility into performance, ideas into action, and strategy into trust.

The event brought together reflection on the resilience and teamwork that carried us through 2025, recognition of the collective effort behind every challenge overcome, and a shared alignment on direction and priorities for the year ahead.

Instead of being carried by uncertainty, Tekai chose a different mindset: to feel each wave, stay grounded, and ride the momentum forward. Growth doesn’t happen in isolation. It is co-created through shared clarity, shared courage, and shared commitment.

    2. Tết tradition – Energy, culture, and a fresh start

Shortly after, the Tết / New Year celebration filled our Hanoi office with laughter, colour and unmistakable festive spirit. From bright decorations and lucky red envelopes to joyful games and warm conversations, the atmosphere was exactly what you’d hope for at the start of a new year: vibrant and hopeful.

But beyond the celebration, the Tết tradition carries a deeper meaning. It is about renewal. About letting go of what no longer serves and stepping forward with intention, optimism, and belief.

For a company that operates across two cultures and multiple time zones, Tết or Khại Xuân is more than tradition. It is a cultural reset that grounds us in who we are before we focus on where we’re going. The energy in the room reflected something that no roadmap can fully capture: the genuine dedication and enthusiasm of every person who makes up the Tekai family.

As we opened the year together, we were reminded that momentum isn’t only built in strategy meetings. It’s built in shared moments of connection.

    3. Culture as a Foundation for Growth

Both celebrations shared a common thread: they were beyond events. They were alignment points.

In times of rapid change, growth demands urgency, a challenger mindset, and the resilience to keep moving when things feel uncertain. But it also requires something that is easy to deprioritise: cultural strength. By reflecting together, celebrating together, and setting intentions together, we reinforce the trust that allows us to move fast without losing direction.

    Technology drives transformation.
    Strategy defines direction.
    But people create momentum.

    Moving into 2026 together

As we step into 2026, we do so with confidence, clarity and a strong belief in our teams across Vietnam and Finland.

    New waves will come.
    New challenges will arise.
    New opportunities will appear.

And just as we began this year, with reflection, energy and shared laughter; we are ready to ride them, together.
